In June 2020, the EACB issued, in collaboration with the Think Tank on Co-operative Banks, a Call for Papers for the 9th edition of the EACB award for young researchers on co-operative banks. The purpose of this competition is to attract young talents to investigate co-operative banks’ specificities and thus stimulate research on co-operative banking.
The scientific committee, after careful selection and according to the criteria established in the Call for Papers, selected the following winners:
- 1st price: Bruno De Menna, Monetary policy, credit risk, and profitability: The influence of relationship lending on cooperative banks’ performance, Université de Toulouse, Institut d’Études Politiques, Department of Economics (LEREPS)
- Special Price of the CEO: Erika Bragaglia,Funding liquidity risk and financial stability: evidence from cooperative banks, Department of Management and Law, University of Rome “Tor Vergata”
Bruno De Menna and Erikia Bragaglia received their price during an online ceremony on the occasion of the EACB Webinar Apropos Coop Banking "The Future of the Co-operative Business Model" held on the 24th of January 2022.
