The European Association of Co-operative Banks ( EACB) hold the third edition of the Academics and Stakeholders' day on the 1st April 2014 at the European Parliament . The event was kindly hosted by Raffaele Baldassarre, Member of the European Parliament.
This day was a fruitful occasion to showcase the latest researches on co-operative banks by international academics from prestigious universities. The co-operative banks difference, their unique governance and their role for a more sustainable banking system will also be topics for discussions.
The event provided a valuable platform for dialogue between stakeholders, academics and decision-makers.
Also, during the event the findings and recommendations contained in the new study "Co-operative Banking : Leveraging the Co-operative Difference to adapt to a new environment" produced by Oliver Wyman were also presented.
Finally, the winners of the Second ‘EACB Award for Young Researchers on Co-operative Banks’ were awarded during a dedicated EACB Award ceremony at lunch time.
