The European Economic and Social Committee (EESC), the European Association of Co-operative Banks (EACB), the European Association of Craft, Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (UEAPME) and the International Confederation of Popular Banks (CIBP) organised a conference on Access to finance for SMEs in Brussels on 8 March 2013 (9.00 am - 4.30 pm).
The aim of this conference was to bring to the forefront the various institutional, legal and financial issues that affect SMEs creation and development and which were tackled in the EESC opinion on the "Action Plan on Access to finance for SMEs".
Dedicated roundtables focused on European financial instruments and the role of co-operative banks to support SMEs growth.
Panel debates were composed of high-level speakers. Stakeholders from across the EU exchanged their views and had their voice heard in the heart of Europe!
