The contribution of the real estate sector to the carbon neutrality objective requires renovating existing buildings to improve their energy performance. In France, more than 5 million main residences are energy inefficient i.e. their energy consumption is higher than 330 KWh / m2 / year.
Crédit Agricole is convinced that assisting households is key to scaling-up renovation and with that in mind has launched an online toolbox called “I eco-renovate my accommodation” to guide households through a simplified and step-by-step process to the energy renovation of their accommodation. That online platform provides recommendations in terms of renovation work, subsidies and financing estimates in less than 10 minutes, free of charge, as a local service to individuals. It is available on the Crédit Agricole website as well as in all our regional banks.

« I eco-renovate my accommodation » is a comprehensive tool to help households wishing to engage in the thermal renovation of their accommodation in France by answering their questions and guiding them through each step of the process. For Crédit Agricole Group energy transition can only succeed if it is socially inclusive. That tool is the practical translation of three main challenges: the fight against climate change, supporting purchasing power and improving life quality of the French people”
This platform covers a large amount of verified information and data and is supported by simulators to provide quick and specific estimates of the needs and respective solutions following a four-step process:
- MY PROJECT : estimates the current energy performance of the accommodation to then define the eco-renovation project ;
- MY SUBSIDIES : estimates of the amount of subsidies that may be requested ;
- MY FINANCING : estimates the financing capacity and the financing solutions of the project ;
- MY WORK : offers contact details of certified professionals in the renovation sector close to his/her home
