Crédit Mutuel supports the Food Bank
The Network of Food Banks is a major food aid actor in France. These food products are recovered from supermarkets, producers and industrialists, an aim to fight against food waste.
Crédit Mutuel supports the Food Bank in different ways; here are some examples:
- Crédit Mutuel Anjou finances the association, up to € 12,000 over three years, for processing and freezing of fish by the NGO “Baskets Sea”. Recovered at the end of the auction, the fish is prepared frozen and delivered to the Food Bank at a price of € 2 per kilo. Over the three years of the partnership, six tons of fish enriched the nutritional diversity of distributed food. In Anjou, 180 volunteers proposed their skills to NGO’s and charities in different areas,
- Crédit Mutuel de Normandie has signed a partnership agreement and made a donation to finance a vehicle for the collection of food,
- Finally, Crédit Mutuel du Centre donated the amount of the unused lunch tickets by employees of the bank.
