There are some studies on the relationship between the number of members or the member structure and the economic success of a cooperative bank. A member focussed management of a cooperative bank has to take into account these effects of the member structure and the member number.
This working paper collects the existing knowledge of this relationship and derives a comprehensive framework for the design of a MemberValue management that allows managers of cooperative banks to devise a member focussed strategy for their bank.
