Today the EACB addressed an open letter to the Italian Presidency to welcome the efforts of the EU Council to improve the draft proposal for a revised Payment Services Directive (PSD II).
The EACB members particularly appreciate the work of the EU Council, reflected in the Presidency Compromise published by the Greek Presidency and consider the proposal of the EU legislator to regulate Third Party Payment Service Providers (TPPs) in PSD2 an important initiative. However the EACB members feel that there are points that still need to be clarified and ironed out on the way forward.
