On 30th March Mr Carlos Trias Pintó, Rapporteur for the EESC Opinion on the Banking Union package and panellist at the EACB Regulatory Debate held on 4th March, weighed in on the issues of access to credit and diversity of the European banking sector.
In an article published on an online newspaper, Mr Trias Pintó endorses the findings of the EACB Regulatory Debate and urges EU policy makers to abandon the “unreasonable” one-size-fits-all approach and to provide an equal playing field, respectful of the diversity of the sector.
