EURICSE (European Research Institute on Cooperative and Social Enterprises) has launched the Call for Papers with view to the fifth ‘Workshop on Co-operative finance and sustainable development’ taking place in Trento, Italy, on the 19th and 20th of June 2014. The event will be organized by EURICSE in collaboration with Federcasse (Italian federation of Cooperative Credit Banks) and with the support of the EACB.
The organisers of the Workshop are calling for contributions/ papers that analyse a wide range of topics concerning the co-operative banking model and the role of the core co-operative banking values within the general economic picture. The main areas considered regarding co-operative banking will include:
- Contribution to the real economy
- Impact of regulation on co-operative banks
- Membership issues
- Governance issues
- Diffusion of the co-operative banking model
All submitted papers will be evaluated by the EURICSE Scientific Committee and all those which will be accepted will be published on the EURICSE website.
Participants will have to submit an abstract of their paper by January, 15 2014. The Scientific Committee will evaluate the abstracts received and will ask the participants whose work will be deemed worthy of further consideration to extend their abstracts into full papers and to send said papers by the end of March 2014.
